2026 NZLO National Final Results Announced

The 2026 New Zealand Linguistics Olympiad National Final results are now available. Congratulations to every student who took part and to this year’s Gold, Silver and Bronze award recipients.

The National Final was held on 12 September 2026 at Massey University in Auckland, with online participation also available. Students completed a series of individual linguistic problem-solving challenges, followed by the Team Linguistics Challenge.

2026 award distribution

  • Gold Award: top 5% of all participants

  • Silver Award: next 10% of all participants

  • Bronze Award: next 15% of all participants

Results and awards

Results and award information have been communicated directly to participants. Please check the email address used for registration.

What happens next

The next stage of NZLO training will begin soon. Selected students will receive further information about advanced training and future opportunities by email.

The NZLO training camp is planned for February 2027. Dates, venue details and participation information will be confirmed in a separate update.
